- Use fan in the shower and install a timer for this fan to work 20 minutes after you shower.
- Use ceiling fans, and open windows. You need air circulation and fresh air.
- Make sure that the dryer vent is properly installed.
- Avoid hand drying clothes inside your home.
- Insulate exterior walls.
- Always keep a gap between big pieces of furniture and un-insulated exterior walls.
- Leave bathroom windows open when it’s not rainy.
- Make sure to inspect the roof before the winter.
- Make sure to clean the gutters before the winter.
- Check for evidence of leaks under sinks, behind washers, under fridges, dishwashers.
- In the winter look for water stains on the ceiling, walls, and next to windows.
- Wipe down any condensation on your windows.
